Belief in God is not enough, you need to know.

What led you to your belief in God? No matter how you arrived at your current belief in your head, it is insufficient. You need to know. And the only way to really know is through real world experience.

The story of Abraham's servant in finding a wife for his masters son Isaac is a good example of validating ones knowledge and belief that "God answers prayers" with actual real world experience. In the story Abraham commands his servant to go to his home country to find a wife for his son Isaac. When the servant arrives at the home town of his master, the servant stationed beside a well and prayed “O God, God of my master Abraham, make things go smoothly this day; treat my master Abraham well! As I stand here by the spring while the young women of the town come out to get water, let the girl to whom I say, ‘Lower your jug and give me a drink,’ and who answers, ‘Drink, and let me also water your camels’—let her be the woman you have picked out for your servant Isaac. Then I’ll know that you’re working graciously behind the scenes for my master.” The story goes that just before the servant even finishes his prayer that a young beautiful girl comes by to draw water from the well. As the young girl lowers her jug down the well, Abraham's servant approaches and ask her exactly what he prayed to God about to validate whether or not this girl was the one. As the story continues the young girl fulfills every requirement that his master Abraham desired and responded exactly the way the servant asked God for. The young girl eventually agrees to go along with Abraham's servant and become the wife of Abraham's son, Isaac.

By requesting God to give a specific signal to validate a specific desired result in the real world, than actively looking for that signal and eventually witnessing it, the servant moved from simple head belief about God to really know God in his heart of hearts. Abrahams servants approach in validating ones head knowledge through practical experience is a example we all need to learn from. As belief not validated through personal experience especially of the spiritual and theoretical nature won't sustain us when we're going through a crisis or when we're under immense temptation. God knows this and has offered us a way to really know him by saying in the book of Jeremiah "you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you".

What Really Killed Charlie Kirk

On September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University, a tragic event unfolded that shook the western world to its core. Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA and a vocal conservative leader, was addressing a crowd of young supporters when a bullet struck his neck. In an instant, chaos erupted, and Kirk was gone. President Trump labeled it a "political assassination," sparking widespread mourning and outrage. But just weeks prior, another heartbreaking loss occurred: Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, was brutally stabbed on a Charlotte light rail by a repeat offender with 14 prior convictions—freed due to lenient "progressive" policies. Kirk's last X post fiercely politicized her death, blaming the system that allowed her killer to walk free. Today, we're not dwelling on the graphic videos still circulating on social media. Instead, let's confront the deeper question: What really killed Iryan Zarutska ? And what really kil...

7 books that changed my life

1. As a Man Thinketh This book explores the incredible power that thoughts possess. Atomic Habits The core idea of this book is how small, consistent changes compound into incredible results over the long term. The Lost Art of Sacrifice

In a world obsessed with comfort and self-gratification, the ancient wisdom of sacrifice stands in stark contrast to our modern mindset. Jesus's parable of the rich fool in Luke 12 serves as a powerful reminder that true abundance isn't found in what we store up for ourselves, but in what we give away. The Rich Fool's Fatal Mistake The parable tells of a wealthy man whose land produced an abundant harvest. Instead of sharing his blessing, he decided to tear down his barns to build bigger ones, telling himself, "You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." But God's response was swift and sobering: "You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?" This powerful story reveals God's perspective—He abhors those who selfishly hoard resources while telling themselves to take life easy. By contrast, He loves those who take life seriously a...
