Truth over everything

What is the most important value in the world ? Loyalty ? Faith ? Equality ? Many say prosperity. I believe the most important value is Truth. Seeking the truth for its own sake and not for any other reason.

Seeking the truth about whether this life that we have right now is really all we have and death is the end of everything or is there more. Seeking out whether God is actually real. Seeking out ones purpose here on earth. These types of questions frightens many of us as it may seem near impossible to find the answer to them, however what if that is the main reason why each of us are placed here in the first place - to go on a adventure of discovery.

How does one define truth? Pontius Pilate the roman prefect that oversaw the trial of Jesus Christ of Nazareth once asked Jesus "what is truth?" The dictionary defines it as "the quality and state of being true" as well as "that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality." I would add to the definition "that it is something that can be proven and experienced in reality in some form by at least one of our senses". For example when you drink water you can through your physical senses notice your thirst is quenched by the water, therefore one can conclude as truth that water quenches human thirst. This is validated not just from ones own experience, but can be proven scientifically.

Truth is linked to the hip with honestly and morality. Gods commandments is the point of reference for morality. Therefore one needs to act both honestly and moral in relation to Gods commandments in order to exemplify truth. Socrates, The Buddha, Jesus, Gandhi and many other historical figures exemplifed the truth by being honest and moral according to Gods commandments and anyone of us can to if we decide to.

In our current world of disinformation, social media and artificial intelligence, the truth is under heavy fire by the forces of deceit, envy, victimhood, self-righteousness and narcissism that has propagated throughout society. This has led to the tearing down of historic statues, faux outrage, devaluation of merit and new forms of discrimination. People who speak counter to the mainstream media rhetoric or narrative that happens to be the truth are cancelled or fired. Which is why now more than ever the silent majority needs to stand up for the truth and speak out. Speak it with convication both openly and privately. As only by doing so can we be truly free.

God vs Money

We live in a world currently where for most people, money is God whether or not they like to admit it. Secularism and consumerism has grown to such a extent that the pursuit of wealth and material success has become the center of people's lives. Many for the sake of accumulating money have put aside their ethics and compromised their moral values, demonstrating their idolization of money.  Conversely, many no longer place much value in organized religion and spirituality . Some Church's have been vandalized and burnt down. Attendance has declined drastically, and religious institutions hold ever lesser sway over public discourse and personal beliefs. Mans struggle throughout ones life and history has been between whether one serves either God or money. This existential conflict encapsulates the fundamental question of where one's allegiance lies: with spiritual values or material pursuits. Choosing to serve God entails prioritizing principles of faith, morality, and compas...

Born Sinners

Photo by Maruxa Lomoljo Koren When Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, sin entered the world. From that moment on, humanity became marked by inherent sin . Every person born of man and woman carries this fallen nature, making us sinners from birth—regardless of our intentions, achievements, or religious status. This remains true even after we repent and choose to walk according to God's ways. It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparison—thinking we are better or worse than others, more virtuous, more moral, wiser, or more flawed. But none of those measurements change one eternal truth: you and I are still sinners. We are human, and as long as we live in this world, we will make mistakes and fall short. However, being born a sinner is not something we need to live in guilt about—just as we wouldn’t feel guilty for being born with physical limitations or tendencies. Our sinful nature is not a reas...
